When were you involved in GLO and in what role?

‘My first contact with GLO was through summer mission teams. In 1991/92 I did the ‘Training for Service’ programme, after which I was involved in the administration of Tilsley College for 18 years. I am currently part of the ‘Admin’ team and am PA to Stephen McQuoid, the General Director. I am thankful to have been part of the family of GLO for many years, and to have so many friends and colleagues to share the ups and downs of life and ministry.’

Why have you recommended 'When Heaven is Silent'?

‘I first read the book many years ago when I experienced the loss of a friend. I have returned to it several times in my life when I’ve been going through difficult situations. This book offers no “easy” answers, but encourages us to look to God with faith and confidence in the midst of our challenges.’
